MikroTik PowerBox Pro RB960PGS-PB Outdoor PoE Router

Description

MikroTik PowerBox Pro RB960PGS-PB Outdoor PoE Router

The MikroTik PowerBox Pro RB960PGS-PB is a compact outdoor router designed for wireless internet service providers (WISPs), network installers and businesses that require reliable outdoor connectivity and flexible power delivery. It combines five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four PoE-out ports and one SFP port in a weather-resistant enclosure suitable for appropriate outdoor installations.

Available from Globikom, a networking and IT equipment supplier serving Kenya and Africa, the MikroTik PowerBox Pro is a practical solution for connecting compatible network equipment while reducing the need for separate power adapters.

Five Gigabit Ethernet Ports

The PowerBox Pro features five 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports for connecting routers, access points, wireless equipment and other compatible network devices. Gigabit Ethernet provides suitable wired connectivity for many small network deployments and outdoor distribution points.

Four PoE-Out Ports

Ethernet ports 2–5 support PoE-out, allowing the device to supply power to compatible equipment. It supports passive PoE and IEEE 802.3af/at PoE output. The available output voltage follows the device’s power input, so check the connected equipment’s voltage and PoE requirements before installation.

The maximum total PoE output current is 2 A. The per-port current limit depends on the input voltage: up to 1 A at lower input voltages and 450 mA at higher input voltages. These limits should be considered when planning the total power requirements of connected devices.

SFP Port for Fiber Connectivity

One SFP port allows a compatible optical transceiver to be installed for fiber connectivity. This is useful when integrating the PowerBox Pro into a network that uses fiber uplinks or requires a fiber connection between outdoor equipment and a distribution point. Select the SFP module according to the required fiber type, wavelength, distance and link compatibility.

Weather-Resistant Outdoor Enclosure

The PowerBox Pro features an outdoor enclosure designed for suitable installations on towers, poles and other outdoor locations. It is useful for wireless network deployments where equipment must be positioned close to antennas or other network devices. Follow the manufacturer’s installation and grounding guidance to protect the equipment and maintain reliable operation.

RouterOS Network Management

The device runs MikroTik RouterOS with a Level 4 license and includes an 800 MHz QCA9557 CPU, 128 MB RAM and 16 MB flash storage. RouterOS provides configuration options for routing, firewall rules, traffic management and other supported network functions, depending on the configuration and software version.
