MikroTik FiberBox CRS105-5S-FB Outdoor Switch with 5 SFP Ports

Description

MikroTik FiberBox CRS105-5S-FB Outdoor Switch with 5 SFP Ports

The MikroTik FiberBox CRS105-5S-FB is a weatherproof outdoor network switch designed for internet service providers (ISPs), wireless internet service providers (WISPs), fiber installers, and network operators. It features five SFP ports in a compact enclosure built for outdoor installations where long-distance fiber connectivity is preferable to conventional Ethernet cabling.

For businesses and network installers in Kenya and across Africa, the FiberBox provides a practical way to connect fiber links at towers, masts, and outdoor network distribution points. It runs MikroTik RouterOS and supports configurable switching for compatible network deployments.

Key Features of the MikroTik FiberBox CRS105-5S-FB

Five SFP Fiber Ports

The FiberBox has five SFP cages compatible with supported 1.25 Gbps SFP modules. These interfaces allow connections to compatible fiber transceivers and network equipment. It is suitable for fiber distribution and outdoor network links where distance makes standard Ethernet cabling impractical.

Included RJ45 SFP Module

The manufacturer specifies an S-RJ01 copper RJ45 SFP module preinstalled in the first port. This provides an Ethernet connection option without using a separate SFP cage. Removing the copper module makes all five cages available for compatible fiber modules. Confirm the accessories included with the actual unit before ordering.

Weatherproof Outdoor Enclosure

The FiberBox features an outdoor enclosure designed for pole and mast installations. The package includes mounting accessories such as a hose clamp and cable ties. Follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions and use suitable cabling, grounding, and mounting methods for the installation environment.

RouterOS Management

The device runs MikroTik RouterOS with a Level 5 licence. Network administrators can configure supported switching and network management functions for their deployment. It is supplied with the operating system and licence preinstalled.

Flexible DC Power

The FiberBox accepts 9–30 V DC through its DC power jack. Maximum power consumption is 11 W. The manufacturer’s package includes a 24 V, 0.8 A power adapter. Verify the power supply and package contents before installation.
