The Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Lite is a compact Wi-Fi 7 access point designed to deliver modern wireless connectivity for homes, offices, retail shops, hotels, schools and small business networks. DUAL-BAND WI-FI 7 CONNECTIVITY

The U7 Lite operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. The 2.4 GHz band supports a broad range of compatible devices, while 5 GHz provides higher potential data rates for applications requiring additional wireless capacity.

Ubiquiti specifies theoretical maximum data rates of up to 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz under the specified channel-width conditions. The access point uses 2×2 MU-MIMO on both bands, with four spatial streams in total. These figures represent theoretical wireless data rates and should not be interpreted as guaranteed internet speeds for a single client.

The U7 Lite supports Wi-Fi 7 and compatible earlier wireless standards, allowing businesses to connect a mixture of supported devices. Actual results vary with client capabilities, radio conditions and the wireless configuration.

2.5 GIGABIT ETHERNET UPLINK

One 2.5 GbE RJ45 port connects the U7 Lite to your wired network. Compared with a standard Gigabit Ethernet uplink, this interface provides greater potential wired capacity when paired with a compatible multi-gigabit switch and suitable cabling.

The faster uplink can be useful where several wireless clients share the same access point or transfer large files across the local network. For best results, make sure your router, switch and internet connection can accommodate the expected traffic.

POWER OVER ETHERNET

The U7 Lite uses Power over Ethernet, allowing power and network connectivity to be delivered through one Ethernet cable. Ubiquiti specifies maximum power consumption of 13 W and a supported voltage range of 42.5–57V DC. Use a compatible PoE power source and verify the available power budget before installation.

A compatible PoE switch may simplify deployment by reducing the need for separate power outlets near access points. Confirm package contents with Globikom if you require a separate PoE injector.

COVERAGE FOR HOME AND BUSINESS NETWORKS

Ubiquiti specifies coverage of approximately 115 m² and support for more than 200 clients. These are manufacturer estimates rather than guarantees of uniform coverage or high throughput for every connected device. Walls, building materials, interference, access point placement and the number of simultaneously active clients affect real-world results.

The U7 Lite is suitable for home Wi-Fi, small offices, retail environments, meeting rooms, classrooms and hospitality guest networks. Larger premises or environments with demanding wireless applications may require multiple access points and careful radio planning.

CENTRALISED UNIFI NETWORK MANAGEMENT

The U7 Lite integrates with the UniFi Network application, enabling administrators to configure wireless networks and manage compatible UniFi equipment centrally. Depending on the software version and network setup, available capabilities include guest access, client isolation, wireless meshing, band steering, roaming assistance and network segmentation.

These features help organisations manage staff and guest connectivity, apply access policies and monitor their wireless infrastructure. For business deployments, configure suitable authentication, security settings and VLANs according to the wider network design.

COMPACT CEILING OR WALL INSTALLATION

The U7 Lite measures approximately 171.5 mm in diameter and 33 mm in height. It supports ceiling and wall mounting, with the Lite mounting hardware included according to the manufacturer. Its compact design suits installations where a discreet indoor access point is preferred.
