The CRS310-8G+2S+IN runs MikroTik RouterOS v7 with a Level 5 licence. It uses a dual-core 800MHz ARM processor and 256MB RAM, together with the Marvell Prestera 98DX226S switch chip.

RouterOS provides features for configuring VLANs, bridge filtering, jumbo frames, link aggregation, access control lists and network monitoring. Supported hardware-offloaded Layer 3 functions can also assist with selected routing tasks. Performance depends on the configured features and traffic patterns, so the switch should be designed around the requirements of the intended network.

Flexible Deployment and Rack Mounting

The CRS310-8G+2S+IN has a compact enclosure measuring approximately 200 × 206.1 × 44mm. It can be deployed on a suitable desktop or installed in a standard 19-inch rack using the included rackmount ears. An optional mounting accessory can support alternative rack arrangements.

Its desktop form factor makes it useful for small server rooms, offices, network cabinets and ISP installations where space efficiency is important. The device has active cooling with a fan, helping manage operating temperatures under load.

Power and Operating Conditions

The switch accepts 18–57V DC input through its DC power jack. Maximum power consumption is 34W, or 21W without attachments. The standard package includes a 24V 1.5A power adapter, rackmount ears and fastening accessories, according to the manufacturer’s listed package contents.

The manufacturer specifies an operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so it should be installed indoors in a dry environment protected from water and other environmental exposure.
